the prison donation
There are over 100,000 incarcerated Muslims in the United States today. Many of them have little or restricted access to reliable material by which to inform or improve their knowledge and practice of Islam.
As a Muslim inmate, Abdullah Mustafa (d. 2022) both studied and taught tirelessly to ensure that Muslims around him had access to such knowledge, and took risks to improve their practice - even to the lengths of filing lawsuits (and in rewarding his sincerity, Allah granted victory in winning them).
We would like to honor his memory and continue his legacy. And we encourage you to do so by donating a copy of The Quran Beheld to a Muslim in prison.
As is the case around the world, imprisoned Muslims are out of sight, out of mind. They are forgotten about entirely. But this simple yet grand act of Sadaqa is your opportunity to be of great service to the tens of thousands of Muslims imprisoned here in America, just as Abdullah Mustafa did.
